This passion for the natural world later guided him to study Biology at the University of Utah. After graduating, Nels discovered the unifying power of rhythm and became a drum facilitator—not as a traditional musician, but as someone fascinated by rhythm’s ability to bring people together. This passion eventually led to the creation of Drum Utah, where he integrates music, science, teamwork, and culture into dynamic group experiences.
